Our training manager organises training in conjunction with our training providers,
Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Construction Training Limited (BHCTL) in accordance with an annual Training Plan, which is approved by the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).
All our staff, in keeping with our Investors in People commitment, receive comprehensive induction training and regular reviews based upon an agreed list of “Key Competencies” and resultant “gap analysis” for both individual and company benefit.
T&B promote good practice and skills training for our directly employed labour force. We provide modern apprenticeships for aspiring tradesmen and maintain standards via regular tool-box, safety and customer care training for all operatives.
We have a programme in place to ensure that our workforce are CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme cardholders. Currently, all our management and staff are cardholders and over 90% of our operatives have passed the CSCS Health & Safety test leading to the award of their CSCS cards. Additionally, all our site managers are encouraged to obtain the Chartered Institute of Building Site Managers Certificate and Diploma.
In addition we particularly seek to recruit trainees and apprentices across all areas of the business and provide them with the help and support that will allow them to achieve their aspirations and meet their goals.
